SHIPPING POLICY (SOUTH AFRICA COMPLIANT)


1. OVERVIEW

This Shipping Policy applies to all orders placed with HER ESSENCE within South Africa and is governed by the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA).

By placing an order with HER ESSENCE, you agree to the terms outlined below.


2. SHIPPING METHOD

HER ESSENCE uses Courier Guy – Store to Door, ARAMAX and PAXI for all deliveries.

Orders are shipped directly to the delivery address provided at checkout.


3. PROCESSING TIME

  • Orders are processed within 1–3 business days after payment is confirmed.

  • Orders are not processed on weekends or public holidays.


4. DELIVERY TIMEFRAMES

  • Estimated delivery time: 8–11 business days from the date of dispatch.

Please note: Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on location, demand, or courier operations.


5. SHIPPING FEES

Shipping fees are calculated at checkout unless otherwise stated (e.g., promotional free shipping).


6. DELIVERY DELAYS

HER ESSENCE will make every reasonable effort to ensure timely delivery.

However, delays may occur due to factors beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Courier delays

  • High order volumes

  • Weather conditions

  • Strikes or service disruptions

In accordance with the CPA:

  • HER ESSENCE is not liable for delays caused by third-party couriers, provided that we have dispatched the order within the stated processing time.

  • If delivery is unreasonably delayed beyond what is considered fair, customers may have rights to cancel the order, subject to CPA provisions.


7. ORDER TRACKING

  • Tracking details will be provided once your order has been dispatched.

  • Customers are responsible for monitoring delivery updates via the courier.


8. FAILED DELIVERIES

If delivery fails due to customer-related issues (e.g., incorrect address, unavailability):

  • The courier may attempt redelivery

  • Additional shipping fees may be charged for re-delivery

HER ESSENCE is not responsible for delays or losses resulting from incorrect information provided by the customer.


9. RISK & OWNERSHIP

Risk in the goods passes to the customer upon delivery.

Until delivery occurs, HER ESSENCE retains ownership of the goods.


10. LOST OR DAMAGED PARCELS

  • If your parcel is lost or arrives damaged, notify us within 48 hours of delivery.

  • We will liaise with the courier to investigate and resolve the issue.

Resolutions may include replacement or refund where appropriate and in line with the CPA.


11. COLLECTIONS / SPECIAL REQUESTS

At this time, HER ESSENCE only offers courier delivery and does not support in-person collections unless otherwise stated.


12. GOVERNING LAW

This policy is governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes will be handled in accordance with applicable legal provisions.


IMPORTANT NOTICE

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act. Where required by law, HER ESSENCE will comply with all consumer protection obligations.


HER ESSENCE reserves the right to update or amend this Shipping Policy at any time without prior notice.
